Michael Abbott – Director, Sable Property
B.Comm (Econ) WITS, B.Comm (hons) RAU, CeMAP

Michael grew up and was schooled in South Africa. Having always worked in financial services he started his career at Investec Private Bank in South Africa. After moving to the UK in 2001, Michael entered the mortgage industry and worked as a Broker, Operations Head and Operations Consultant to the mortgage industry. As a founding director of Sable Property he brings considerable UK and Offshore property finance and property related expertise to the Sable client base.

Jodi Cottle – Director Sable Property New Zealand

Jodi was raised on a large dairy farm just outside Levin in New Zealand. She spent time living in Wellington and Auckland. Jodi developed a passion for property investment from an early age. She has developed a career in the finance industry as a mortgage advisor which she practiced in Auckland for two years. Jodi is currently living in London, and working as a mortgage advisor providing advice on mortgages for the UK and NZ markets.

Malcolm Girling – Director
BSc Eng (Hons), MBA (Oxford), CEA, SAFEX, AFPC

Malcolm has been in the financial services industry for the past 10 years. Schooled in South Africa, he obtained his Honours Degree at UCT and went on to complete his MBA at Oxford University. On moving to the UK he initially worked as an Investment Banker before moving onto Mckinsey & Co, where he provided specialist advice to Banking and Insurance companies for 6 years. Previous to his life in the financial world, Malcolm setup and ran his own business for a number of years. Malcolm is one of the founding directors of Sable and as a qualified Financial Advisor also provides direct client advice.

Andrew grew up in South Africa, where he was schooled and obtained both his Engineering and Legal Honours and Undergraduate Degrees. After working for Ernst & Young for 4 years (both in the UK and South Africa), he completed his MBA at Imperial College in London. Subsequently he worked for Old Mutual in the UK, initially focusing on the Offshore Private Banking sector and then moving onto Gerrard – the UK Private Client business. Andrew is one of the founding directors of Sable and as a qualified Financial Advisor also provides direct client advice.

Ian was raised and schooled in Johannesburg South Africa. He spent a few years in Sales before moving over to the UK in 2004. While in the UK he started working for an accounting firm before moving over to Sable Property where he has trained to become a mortgage broker. He is now living in London and building up his career in the finance industry as a qualified mortgage broker providing advice on mortgages for the UK and South African Markets.
